Tornadoes: Final Game of the Season

Oh my. What a game. A real nail biter!

This is me and Lindy. Our girls have been best buddies since forever and at one point we lived on the same street. We have both moved from those homes but the girls (and we mums) are still great friends. This year the girls were on the same hockey team that Lindy's husband coached.

It was a wonderful season.

It all came down to the game today to determine the Oakville Hornets Novice Champions.

The game ended with a tie.

Overtime ended and we were still tied.

Sudden death shoot out: three girls are chosen with each taking a shot on the opposing goalie. Each team gets 1 goal.

One more shooter is chosen from each team.

The pressure to this point is completely insane. The near misses. The close calls.

Parents, siblings, friends all clapping, cheering, yelling, laughing. The noise was immense.

The Red Rockets score a goal. The Teal Tornadoes do not.

The insanity was over.
