Did you blog about me, mama?

I received such ATTITUDE this morning about taking Claire's photo. You know, the "official" first day of school shot? She was really adamant about ruining every attempt. I got one decent shot - sort of - even though she moved.

The rest were taken on the way to the school. Like her mama, Claire would far rather be on the other side of the lens. Nice traffic, eh? It'll be like that every morning until the novelty of driving the kids to school wears off and parents start looking into busing and car pooling!

She had a GREAT first day back. Catching up with all of her friends. She was talking a million words a minute when Cole and I collected her on our way to kayaking. After an hour and a half on the water (them, not me) we managed to make it home for dinner. One of her first requests was to see the blog entry about her going back to school.

*EEK*

I didn't do it. No entry! My friend Lisa came over for tea this morning (HUGE catch-up, after her being in Australia and Massachusetts this was our first tea since 2001!); I updated our Frozen Ropes schedule which snowballed into notes to our web lady and our general manager; and, then a big mailing about the Skate Sale this weekend. Then there was that little thing about being Monday and having to clean, do some laundry and finish up some other nagging chores after our crazy weekend.

So for Claire, here is the blog entry about her going back to school.

Maybe next time she'll not give me such a hard time about taking her photo and I'll blog about her on a more timely basis - or I'll just take a picture of her backside (like I did on the weekend) and she'll never know :)
