Choose Joy

Those of you who know me (and no, you don't have to know me well!) are all to aware that I'm pretty happy, generally kind and always generous. Given the alternative, I really do choose joy on a daily basis. I take courses, read books, write journals: all of which reflect this pursuit.

Every now and then I enjoy an "external boost". I'm fully aware I cannot live this life without happy fuel!!

Out of the blue, at a hockey rink in Thornhill this morning, on my ever-attached blackberry, I received this note:

Lee,

I have decided that you are going to get published. No arguing. Your pages are amazing. They are both heart warming and beautiful.

When I go to your house to scrap, I spend my time looking at your pages. What have you done thats new and basically spend my time oohing and aahing instead of doing my own album. ...and I know that the group of American ladies you meet with every month love albums as well (standing ovation!!!)

So...It's time you started "Lee's Layouts" (I'll even let you pick another name if you want).

First you start with your website - putting in your words of advice, your blog some page layouts and the fact that you were FORCED into doing this because of the amazing and persistant friends in your life.

So move over CM. Lee is the new Queen of scrapbooking!

Wow. What a great note! Not just the content, but the idea that someone would take time out of their day to think of me and send me such a kind, positive and empowering message!

It does give me much to think about.

So, to the writer: thank you so much for such a joyous note. Fuel for me! Thanks for thinking so highly of me and what I create. You too are tremendous and mean a great deal to me in my life. I'm thankful every day that I managed to bump into you that day. Random. Karma.
