That was a very LONG hour!
In the end, the kids played Monopoly. As the game was getting out of hand, I went to lie on the couch to supervise and promptly fell asleep.

It may have been "uneventful", yet that was really cool for you to do. I totally missed it. Oops. My kids would've thought it was the greatest. Come to think of it - maybe we should do this once a week. I think it would do more for our family time than the earth. Nothing wrong with that, right?
