Both of our countries are heading for elections this fall. I am thankful every day that here in Canada our election season is so short. On September 7, 2008, our Prime Minister, Stephen Harper, drove to the Governor General's official residence were he asked the Governor General, Michaëlle Jean, to call a general election on October 14, 2008. She accepted the request. From start to finish the campagne will last little more than six weeks. It has been lively so far, but very busy. Not much free time for too much comedy.
But boy, is Tina Fey fantastic!

I wish our election process was shorter. I was sick and tired of it a couple of months ago.
