Never to be repeated

I went to Texas this past weekend. I was privileged to meet 49 incredible women. I got to know many, some better than others and now truly believe that I've just met friends who will be a part of me for a lifetime.

What an immense amount of talent in one room - everyone with a talent, or two: altering, photography, knitting, card-making, stamping, handwriting/doodling, embossing, and, of course, scrapbooking. I was in.awe.every.minute. Everyone encouraging, enabling, enjoying each other.
My talent: laughing. My ribs are sore and my head aches. Warning: sitting next to Dars can cause grins to giggles to laughs to full-blown snorts if you aren't careful!

I will keep this event close to my heart because I know it will never be repeated.

Many fun things happened over the weekend starting with my going to the wrong AA Centre - I went to the one downtown (where the Stars play!) not the TRAINING Centre. Poor Stacy had to come and rescue me. Though, kind as she is, she thanked me for a few moments of 'sit down' time. That woman ran around like crazy all weekend. The funniest thing that happened all weekend was when we all posed for our group photo. To explain: the photo above is not a bunch of crazy scrapbookers just hearing about a sale at Recollections - that is the impeccable timing of the sprinklers.

Never to be repeated. So happy and privileged to have been there this time.

I thought we had a blast Lee. I'm glad you had so much fun. And I'm glad to know you have a blog! I'll read it regularly!

Aw, man! I didn't know you were at SSTX! I definitely am going to get there some year.

I love the sprinker timing, too!
