Beth's Blog Challenge: The MOM interview

Beth's Challenge: I finally finished reading Stacy Julian's The Big Picture a couple of weeks ago. I loved how she interviewed each of her kids, so I did the same with my older two in late January. I plan on interviewing them every year on their birthdays, just to see how their answers change.If you don't have children, interview a parent or a sibling.

Here are Stacy's interview questions:

(1) What is something that mom always says to you?
Claire: "It's time to sign off, now"
Cole: "Go to bed"
Chloé: "I love you"
Caden: "No"

(2) What makes mom happy?
Claire: When I rub her back
Cole: Cleanliness
Chloé: A clean room
Caden: When I hug her

(3) What makes mom sad?
Claire: When we misbehave and don't get along
Cole: Messy house and when we don't listen
Chloé: Not a clean room
Caden: When I'm mean

(4) How does mom make you laugh?
Claire: When she says the wrong thing at the wrong time
Cole: When she says something funny ... which is often
Chloé: By making up silly nicknames
Caden: By making funny faces

(5) What was mom like as a child?
Claire: Talented
Cole: Smart and pretty
Chloé: Nice and sweet
Caden: She was a good girl

(6) How old is your mom?
Claire: 43
Cole: 43
Chloé: 43
Caden: 43

(7) How tall is your mom?
Claire: 5'11"
Cole: 5'11"
Chloé: 5'11" I think
Caden: As tall as me when she's sitting down

(8) What is her favorite thing to do?
Claire: Scrapbook or visit the Borg
Cole: Go on ScrapShare
Chloé: Scrapbook

(9) What does your mom do when you're not around?
Claire: Scrapbook or visit the Borg

Chloé: Go on her computer
Caden: Go to the store

(10) If your mom becomes famous, what will it be for?
Claire: Scrapbooking or singing
Cole: Winning a Nobel Prize
Chloé: By being a famous scrapbooker

(11) What is your mom really good at?
Claire: Scrapbooking and singing
Cole: Being a mum and cooking, and teaching, and yelling
Chloé: Loving me

Claire: Nothing
Cole: She's not bad at anything
Chloé: Nothing
Caden: Nothing

(13) What does your mom do for her job?
Claire: Take care of us kids
Cole: Works at Frozen Ropes and scrapbooks

Caden: Baseball

(14) What is your mom's favorite food?
Claire: Asian food, I think. Or Creme Brulee.
Cole: Pasta
Chloé: Turkey at Thanksgiving

(15) What makes you proud of your mom?
Claire: How good she is at being a mom
Cole: That she loves me
Chloé: Just by her being my mum
Caden: When she hugs me

(16) If your mom were a cartoon character, who would she be?
Claire:Minnie Mouse
Cole: Bugs Bunny
Chloé: She would be a whole new character
Caden: Sylvester the Cat

(17) What do you and your mom do together?
Claire: Shop and talk, a lot
Cole: Have fun

Caden: Hug each other

(18) How are you and your mom the same?
Claire: We both have blonde hair ... now
Cole: We're both very smart
Chloé: We both love each other
Caden: Eating the same foods

(19) How are you and your mom different?
Claire: I have blue eyes and she is old and married
Cole: She's tall and I'm small
Chloé: She has brown eyes and I have blue
Caden: I don't spend so much time on the computer

(20) How do you know your mom loves you?
Claire: When she gives me hugs
Cole: Because I feel it in my heart
Chloé: Because she hugs and kisses me every night

Oh, Lee, those are priceless! I love: my mom and I are different because I have blue eyes and she is old and married. ROFLOL! Kids are the best!

BTW, what are "drumbones"? LOL

Drumbones = Drumsticks. I did try to correct him, but Caden was insistent that I was wrong and they were drumbones. I don't know where he gets that stubborn streak!
