So Brenda, in answer to your question, my Smarties are not the same as your Smarties. Up here they are candy coated chocolate. Like M&Ms but not quite the same. They are flatter and more fun to suck or chew and even come with a fancy jingle!
As for Crispy Crunch bars? It is a chocolate bar with crispy peanut butter/caramel centre covered in milk chocolate. Very yummy. Not anything like the Nestle Crispy bars at all.
We have a ton of different candy "up here" as well as all of the US, British. and European varieties. Bad country if you're on a diet!

How cruel to show me a picture of the "real" smarties...I'm not sure when I was introduced to the version you describe but I much prefer it.
My favorite cadbury product is the Chunchie...and although my dentist wishes I'd find something less sticky. Haven't tried the other one you've mentioned...must look and see if they have it at the import store. Oh wait, I"m supposed to be eating right and exercising...skip that idea!
Mmmmm. Canadian smarties! DH buys a case every time he goes home to visit. And my in-laws always bring us some when they come. That and cereal! DH loves Shreddies and the Corn Pops in Canada are much, much better!
YUMMMM! You're right, we are missing out down here. Smarties sound good, but your "crunch" bars sound even better, but then, anything with PB is GREAT! Thanks for making me hungry! ;)
