I do love Texas

You cannot know how much I {heart} the ladies in Texas. Not just the true Texans, but the few misplaced northerners and westerners who show up at Texas hosted events. What a fantastic few days. Everyone is kind, hospitable, funny, talented, generous and genuine.

It is so much fun getting to know people better - not just the side you learn from their posts in the box. All the different layers and dimensions. Delightful!

Just when you think you know your "friends" spend a minimum of 12-hours at a stretch - for three days and you'll quickly realize that you really don't! Who knew Tiffany knew all the words (and hysterical dance moves) to "Big Butts", or Jenica could sing "Ice Ice Baby" without getting her tongue too twisted; or Amanda had such interesting historical questions; or Amy make strange animals with her hands or that they would do such strange things; or that Kuleen would remember my challenge opening the wine last November and make me a gift waiting for me upon my arrival; or that Sheri and I have such similar American political views; or, or, or.

Everyone had such great stories, great points of view, great fun. A ton of laughter. I had such a great workout on my abs!!

I have not yet uploaded my photos so cannot post yet. But look out for them. (I do not anticipate a post-retreat-crash which so often happens when things "leak" out after the fact.) I hope I don't bore anyone reading with all things Texas for the next few days :)

Right now I'm enjoying my last few hours in this great state. I'm sitting in Cowtown Stacy's living room with the laptop, Tiffany has just woken up, Melissa, Sarah and Desiree left the house at the crack of dawn (I don't think they slept at all).

I'm off in a few minutes .... what a fantastic weekend ....
