The Cape Photos

I am very late getting these photos put up - between mine and those taken by the other ladies, it took a bit of time to coordinate them all. Thanks so much for the ever talented Stacy for putting together a photo site for us to share photos. Today I got distracted re-living the weekend while looking at the oodles of photos posted. Now I'm going to post only a few of the couple of hundred we have accumulated. Only because as delightful as I thought the weekend was, I'm sure you, the reader, will be bored after the first twenty. So, (not counting the one above) here's nineteen!

Though this was not technically a "retreat" it really was. I cannot tell you adequately how good the food was! Oh my, these ladies can put on a spread. The whole weekend was filled with good eats, no wonder it was hard for us to stick with our diets. All was very tasty. I was impressed with the ability of everyone to make such good choices in spite of the bounty spread before us!

Cleaning up was a breeze with so many helpful hands!

Mary is quite knowledgeable about signs and astrology. We brought out this book and realized a few things when looking up each other ... it was a pretty diverse and dynamic group! We already knew that, but to have it confirmed by the stars made it all the more true.

Mary, no longer a CM virgin. Way to go!

Kristi is such a breath of fresh air. Truly the embodiment of kindness and authenticity.

Probably not the best photo of Stacy but one that captures her charm and personality. We have a big rack of hats which was irresistible!!

Yay, a pic of me. Cuz I like having my photo taken so much!

Judy, holding up my Texas board book - doing a Vanna pose. What a great lady. Love Judy to bits! Even with the spooky psychic stories! Still gives me chills!!

Ah, Nel! I'm so sorry this wasn't a "daddy weekend" because it would have been great to spend more time in your company. You are so funny, articulate and see so many things so clearly. Love being around you.

How did we not get a photo of Karen at the table? What a talent .. and fast. She can chat - with insight and intelligence - and produce the most incredible work! She is my most favourite rocker chick - oh, head-banger, I believe is the term :)

Tons of beautiful work was produced over the weekend.

Mary found her June-teenth birthday buddy: Kristy! I had no idea they shared their birthday - which just happens to be today, June 19th. Look at those smiles. Ah, good times!

All shades of red and pink.

Many poses for many photos. Throughout the whole weekend. So much fun!

Love this picture. Stacy took it and I can honestly say I have no clue where she was when it was taken. I thought I had been over every inch of these 17 acres and I have not seen this particular spot!!

Look at this gift. I get weepy just thinking about it. Blessed. I am.

I had never seen these before going to Cape Cod. They are certainly prolific. Beautiful.

Our last evening we went to the Impudent Oyster in Chatham. In retrospect we should have had one of the staff take our photo for us so Mary could be included!

To finish off, since everyone has, or wants to have, their photo taken on Stacy's porch swing, I thought it appropriate to sign off with Stacy on the Cape swing!

Imagine.

Twelve women invited to share a weekend in Cape Cod. Having busy lives, six are able to attend. Flights in from Texas, drives in from Syracuse, mid-Massachusettes, Boston and me from Oakville. There are seven of us - really, the perfect size group. All very diverse, talented, opinionated, intelligent women coming from a wide range of backgrounds and circumstance. No schedule, no demands, no drama.

What a lovely time.

I was so happy to share my paradise with such incredible women. My life is truly enriched with their being a part of it.

Wow! I'm jealous!! I'm glad y'all had such a great time. And who was there from Syracuse? I live right near Syracuse. I didn't know anyone from SS was right down the road from me!

Looks and sounds like you had just the right mix of everything...making it indeed a perfect weekend for all of you!

But yowza, you can really see Stacy's loss in some of those pictures! Way to go! Keep up the great job (all of you on that journey, it's just I've seen more photos of Stacy through the years...)

Lee,

Everytime I look at any of the Cape Cod photos I get lost in reverie. It was such fun. I feel so lucky and so blessed that I was able to share that special time with my SS sisters in a place that I absolutely love.

Thank you!

Wow Lee! You truly are blessed. What an incredible time you all had. The memories you guys made! The shadow box is so nice. Did someone make that? I am assuming yes, especially with all of those amazing and talented women. Thanks for sharing with us. =]
