The benefit of rain

Beautiful flowers.

I have a thing for white flowers. My favourites are peonies, cabbage roses and the hydrangeas we have growing out the front of our house. These snowball hydrangeas were sad, sad specimens last summer. It was so hot and dry. There was no way to water them enough with the water ban imposed on the community last year.

No such thing as a water ban this year!

As a result, everywhere you look there is green grass, lush trees and bushes and full to bursting hydrangeas.

Aren't they gorgeous?

The photos were taken during the single ray of sunshine we have enjoyed in the last 48 hours.

I have grown to love these! My favorite flower happens to be the Lily of the Valley and then the Gerbera Daisy...very different than these beauties. I guess I love the other ones for sentimental value, but these for their incredible beauty. I will think of you now when I see them! =]
