Photo Phobic

Are you the photographer in the house? I know I am. Very rarely will you find a photo of me. I often take photos of Louis and the kids - individually or in groups, but rarely do I go to the other side of the lens.

(Given that I made a pretty decent living on the other side of the camera during my early 20s, I find it quite ironic.)

A friend sent a note last week, maybe before that, asking me to send a photo of Louis and myself. I put it off. I thought about it every day. Certainly I told Louis of the request as soon as it came in. He was game, rolling eyes and all, but I kinda dragged it out. Well, it wasn't going to go away. So on Saturday, I asked each of my girls to take a photo.

Claire took the first: outside.

Chloe took the second: inside.

I've sent them off to my girlfriend. The choice is hers.

I am who I am, and I shouldn't be photo phobic. Or, I should make more of an effort to be more photo desirable. At any rate, as a result of this little adventure, our kids have asked that we have more photos taken of the two of us together (the last one was in 2004). So emphatic are their requests that I've already uploaded these two photos and they will be put in frames in the living room ASAP!

Bottom line: I think I should give all of them photography lessons, but more photos, will be taken. If for no other reason than to make our children happy.

And, that's the whole idea, right?

(Just heard from my friend, she's using the "outdoor" photo. That would be my choice as well :) But I'll still put both in frames, so both my girls know that I love each photo!)

Beautiful photos...I know I wish my parent's took more photos together too! I rarely get on the other side of the camera myself and should...

Awwwwww - you two are so cute, Lee!!

I don't have very many pictures of me, either--have never liked having my picture taken.

I really like these photos. I am the same way. I need to get "over it". After all, he is my best friend. =] There just aren't many pictures of me in the first place. I will have to be better about that....maybe. LOL
