Trading Pages: Done!

I've come to realize that I really need to "jump start" my scrapbooking. It is something I really enjoy doing, but every once in a while I run out of steam and hit a creative wall. I have learned that to become more inspired you just have to do, but it is so much easier to simply stop - instead I read magazines, look at sketches, join classes, peruse blogs and websites. This results in my feeling guilty about not actually creating.

One one of the message boards I frequent there was a thread which made mention of "Trading Pages". This is something I've never done. In response to my inquiries, one of the ladies mentioned that she would love to have me do one of her pages for her. I figured "why not"?

Waiting in the mail for me upon our return from Cape Cod was this collection of photos:

I have been mulling and thinking of all the things I could do to make this a kick-ass layout. Turns out that was just too much pressure! So, instead, once the kids were settled, I decided to head down to the studio and go through the photos and pick some elements:

This is how it turned out:

I'm sending it out tomorrow. Hope she likes it!!

Wow you have been busy. 3 entries in one day. Way to go. I love th Trading pages layouts. Love the colors and detail. They are great. I am amazed that you could get these done with all the running you have been doing with all the camps. Great job.

Oh, Lee, I am sure she will love it. I love how you have the bling and the pink and all for a baseball LO. I will have to remember this approach for my girls' sports pages.

Turns out Benita hates pink! (Who knew? Well, everyone but me *eek*) It was nice to do a layout for a child who isn't mine for a change. Definitely get the creative juices flowing ...
