George trains another

We have known George McDonald at Ice Sports for years. He runs a great hockey instructional program for all ages. Cole started skating lessons in kindergarten. We went off track for a couple of seasons participating in another program, but we saw the light, and when Cole went into Novice at age 8 we started him back in the Ice Sports programs. A year later Cole started private lessons once a week with George, with great results.

Caden is following in his brother's footsteps - or skatemarks, as it were.

Caden is now entering his Novice year of hockey. For years he has been dragged around with us to rinks and placed in program after program with his older siblings. He's been typically Caden, happy-go-lucky, easy going, you don't know if anything is actually sinking in.

This summer he asked for private lessons with George. Just like his big brother.

We were hesitant. Private lessons are not cheap. The cost of the ice is incredible. We discussed it and figured it was worth the risk. After all, someone is always looking for ice; we could always sell it.

Today was Caden's first private lesson.

He was thrilled.

Better yet? George was thrilled.

Caden listened. Caden learned. Caden was responsive.

Wow. Yay!
