ABATAKA means community, belonging - we are all one.
Most days I do my best to catch "The View". Some seasons are better than others, but I truly enjoy what Whoopi Goldberg has brought to the show. One of those things is her generous spirit and her promotion of charitable projects and works.
One group in particular caught my attention, and with the frightful weather outside, I was able to turn on the fireplace, brew a tea, and learn about them. What I discovered was Mary Fisher and Abataka and their incredible effort and determination to provide hope for a situation, to any casual observer, would appear hopeless. Their art and attitude is incredible. Wow.
