Fat Tuesday

Enjoy your day.

Pancakes here, tonight, for dinner, for the kids, of course. Personally, I prefer waffles :)

Tell me, do you celebrate lent? What is your choice of deprivation this year? I have chosen to give up anything that causes me stress. This should be a very happy 40 days!

I don't give up anything but I like your thinking :)

I don't give up anything, either, and we don't have pancakes - is that a Fat Tuesday tradition or a Curie family tradition? IHOP is offering free pancakes today, so wondering if there is a connection.
I, too, prefer waffles - belgium style.

I believe Fat Tuesday is a Christian tradition kicked off by Mardi Gras and all that pre-Easter stuff, at least it has always been in my life. I think the idea is to feast before the fasting of Lent.

Me? I'd rather feast on steak and potatoes and a big old Caesar salad!

I have never actually given up anything for the season, but this year I'm happy to let the stress go on holiday for a while :)

I'm making pancakes at this very moment... better go before they burn on the griddle ;)

Happy pancake day!

I don't do lent but if I did I would probably have banana splits for dinner...does that count?

I don't do lent either, but I do love the idea of fasting from anything that will help you to be a better person =]. Those pancakes look too good. mmmmm...

I love pancakes! I've never had them on Mardi Gras, though. I grew up right outside of New Orleans and must have missed the whole pancakes on Fat Tuesday deal. I had never even heard of it until just recently.

We don't celebrate Lent.

I have given up french fries and soda. I really LOVE both of them.
