A new season

Caden suffered through a miserable hockey season last year, learning nothing about the game or his position as a defenseman. He was nervous about starting with a new team and potentially letting his mates down. Lots of heavy stuff for a shy nine year old to contemplate right before his first game of the season!

That game was this morning, at 7AM. Caden was often out of position but he was in good company as many of his teammates were as well. He was encouraged and complemented. He got his first assist when he ripped a beautiful slapshot and his forward got the rebound! A great start to the season I'd say.

Hopefully his fears, and memories, have been put to rest.
