Blog Challenge #5: Favourite Word

What is your favorite word?Maybe you just like the way it rolls off your tongue.Maybe it's funny to you for some reason.Perhaps its meaning gives it a place of honor on your word list.Maybe you like it because of the circumstances that surrounded you learning it.Think about words. What are your favorites, and why?

Wow! What an assignment. I’m known for words – lots and lots of words. I talk way more than I should; and, I write like I talk. A favourite? Not a single one can be found.

Over the past few years I've learned that the key to clear communication is using smaller words. Or maybe since having four kids I’ve lost the use of my once immense vocabulary and my now-feeble mind can only remember small words? At any rate, I’m finding the beauty of uncomplicated communication.

My favourite words are empowering, strong and simple:

Kind
Generous
Spirited
Loyal
Courage
Giving
Funny
Serenity
Simple
Patience
Character

Of course, in conversation, or in my writing, all of these words are used in combination with LOTS of other words. Kind is usually kind-hearted, generous is usually generous spirit, spirited is usually in combination with high (because my kids are high spirited!): you get the idea.

I love words, I use lots of them and there are no favourites. Maybe favourite combinations, but never just one favourite word!

This is well written. I like "uncomplicated communication"

That's what I'd like to strive for.
