This is a pretty routine 12 of 12 this month! The 12th has fallen on a Monday: errand day. Frozen Ropes doesn't open until 4PM and Louis spends most of the day with me running errands or catching up on other things. Today I decided to balance chores with some fun things: duty and fun. Since Louis knew this was a photo taking day so he made himself scarce.
First thing? Check in with the ladies in my ScrapShare Booty Busters team! We've made a blog to keep track of each other - for encouragement and ideas. I started with a breakfast of chicken breast, yogurt and granola. Sounds icky, but I cannot do breakfast food.

All of the younger kids make their own school lunches. Chloe is forced to eat something "healthy" each day and I'm now supervising her selections as her choice of food would be apple, banana, chips and bread. ALL CARBS. My little chunky monkey.

One of my reward chores? Staples. Ah, Mecca for office supply freaks like me! I've lost all of my Pentel RSVP pens - so I found them and bought a bunch!

Cole is going through his collection of Anthony Horowitz books at break neck speed. I stopped by Chapters for another 'fix' and picked up the remainder of the collection for him and picked up "The Last Lecture" by Randy Pausch for me.

Do you see the sign? Tiny, in the window? For Wii Fit? It comes out in exactly one week. There is a waiting list - at least one person for every one pound I have to lose! I might never get it. Ugh. I get the whole supply/demand theory but the Wii thing is crazy.

Time to pick up the kids from school. Tim Horton's has great coffee - but even better Green Tea. Really. I don't know what it is but it is delish and tastier than what I make here at home. As a treat worth the $1.45 for a large cup.

I was enabled at the Spring Thing by Charla and bought myself the new Garmin Nuvi 760 to replace the one stolen earlier this year.

Following the enabling theme ... Michelle told me all about the Scrapbooks Etc. Page Planner and was raving, so, of course I had to get it - and a new one from Australia. Makes waiting easier :)

We rushed up to Millbank Park to watch Claire pitch for the Appleby softball team. She did well - pajama bottoms and all! Though they lost by two runs, they made a great effort to play well. Claire pitched well and had a couple of home runs. She was elected captain and needs to play well and consistently every time out on the diamond.

Right after Claire's game, on the other Millbank diamond, Cole played his game. They pulled it out. When I arrived (back from taking Claire to pick up her uniform and computer at school) they were losing but they turned it around and pulled out a win. This is Cole after his base-clearing home run.

As is our custom, after a great win is a trip to Baskin Robbins. It used to be Dairy Queen but now we have the real stuff on the way home - it also used to be after EVERY game (Cole had a 17-0 season last year!) This year we have to come up with a better system!
