A New Era

Cole is growing up.

Too. fast.

For years he's been happy for me to take a trip to The Children's Place or Old Navy to pick up his clothes.

Those days are done.

He got a taste of the Gap while we were in Ottawa over Christmas break. He had a growth spurt making every shirt sleeve end above his wrist and pant above his ankle! Today we had to make another trip. How he can go from clothes fitting one week and then totally too small the next is beyond me!

The difference this time? We had to buy all his shirts at Gap. The real Gap. The big boy Gap. His butt still fits in Gap for Kids. But it's only a matter of time.

Sigh.

LOL! Last winter I bought my DS only 2 pairs of jeans. He was growing so fast it was cheaper to keep washing those two pairs than to buy a bunch. I was never so glad this past spring when it was warm enough for him to wear shorts and I didn't have to worry about the length anymore. He grew 3 inches in 3 months! AGH! Teenage boys EAT ALL THE TIME!!!

Man, if only I could get my 12yo to grow & gain weight!!! Poor thing, I don't know if he'll ever weigh 70#!!!

I'm glad you found something that worked for him though.
