August Project: Advent Calendars

My friend Beth (as opposed to my sister, step mum or aunt, Beth) turned me on to the "A Cherry On Top" website some months ago for my scrapbook supplies. It has turned out to be a great resource and once which I use far too often! I admit it: I am easily enabled.

A couple of weeks ago I was going through the "new items" section and came upon these Countdown Calendars. Brilliant! I have always disliked the Advent Calendars available during the holidays and have avoided purchasing them much to the disappointment of four deserving children - well, three deserving and one who can't be left out, right?

Five of them arrived in the mail today.

Now I have to figure out what to do! Not only on the outside, but how to fill each box. Hmm ...

Always happy to enable a fellow scrapper, Lee. Can't wait to see what you do with them. I've admired those countdown calendars myself!

This is the second blog I have been to that mentioned these. They look like a lot of fun. Looking forward to seeing what you do with 5 of them.

Lee,

How sturdy are they? Do you know what these would be FANTASTIC for? Sorting your chipboard by letter :)

Hey Monica, they are very sturdy but only about 1" square each box. The whole dimension can't be more than 6" square by 1" deep. But I like the idea of boxes like this for sorting chipboard. Hmm, maybe a trip to IKEA is in order!
