Hope

It is my fervent hope that this new Obama era lives up to the lofty expectations set before it. There is so much media and energy and fervor and hype and talk.

Anticipation to the point of vibration.

It makes me want to hold my breath; close my eyes and cross my fingers; and, hope: please let this new chapter live up to it's promise. I hope all the hype isn't a set up for failure. I really wish I could buy into all of the excitement, but it just makes me nervous.

On another note, I have to say am I ever glad to be watching all the pomp and ceremony from the comfort of my living room and not someplace on the Mall. I think I'd freak out with that incredible number of bodies surrounding me!

I agree with you. Sitting on my couch in my warm house is fine with me. I was shocked to see all those people already lined up at 6am! Only 6 more hours to go. And the flashes from the cameras looked like they are at a rock concert.
We are all hoping for a new era of change!

I hear you - I have hope but honestly not a whole lot of faith at this point. But we shall see - time will certainly tell!

He certainly is charismatic but only time will tell if there is substance. However, like you I hold out hope that this is good for our country.

Oh, how I wish I could have been there.

I've been having the same thoughts. Only time will tell.

Lee we think so much alike. Your post is exactly what I've been thinking. And so well said.

On the other hand, I would have loved to be in that crowd :)
