The Motivation of Failure

That single step ... well, I did get that far!

Today was a wonderful day.

I failed miserably.

I got all ready to go on my walk. Part of my 37-Day commitment. My girls were sweet and offered to join me on my trip to the harbour and back. I had to remind Claire that I would be walking more Chloe's pace than hers, but by the end of the 37 days, I will be ready to take her on!

Big words.

To eat.

We were exactly one block from the entrance to the harbour and about 2/3 of the way to the lighthouse, my target when my body said "whoa, lady, time to turn around." I seriously felt the need for Depends! I told the girls that I couldn't make it. They are so good, up for anything. I explained the situation and they abruptly changed direction and about every ten paces asked if I was okay and if they could do anything.

Aren't they wonderful?

I am more determined than ever to succeed at my 37-Day commitment. I don't want to let the girls down. I don't want to let me down.

You do indeed learn more from your failures than from your successes. Story of my life!

Lee, you didn't fail - you only fail if you don't try. I'm cheering you on in cyberspace!

I completely agree. We DO learn more from our failures than our successes. I should be a genius by now!!

Not a failure at all - you did it - maybe not all the way but that was not your failure just your bodies! You will suceed in this!

Lee, you did NOT fail. You put your shoes on and you walked! It was a success that the effort was there and that you will continue on your goal! Way to go!

Failure would have been sitting at home and not trying at all. I'm proud of you!! You are an inspiration.
