that nasty bug that has been going around. It felled Louis earlier this week and I was really hoping he had a case of food poisoning instead of something I would catch.
Ugh. Caught. In the middle of Fortino's while doing my Easter dinner shopping.
The advantage of embracing a "control what you can control" life, I was not frustrated and angry. Well, maybe a bit frustrated, I'll not be making scalloped potatoes with no potatoes! I was more resigned and decided to focus on just getting better: staying hydrated and learning to enjoy herbal tea.
I received a box of books earlier this week and in it was the new Katherine Center book (pictured above), Brene Brown's book (see sidebar), and
Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. Three books I've wanted to read but never got around to getting. I had no idea when I'd find the time to enjoy them. Well, I've managed to get half way through
Everyone is Beautiful and I have to say I'm enjoying it immensely.
To top it all off, Louis and Cole stopped at the florist, yes, the florist, not the grocery store or Hasty Market, and picked up a beautiful bouquet of white Easter Lilies for me. Claire has just moved them upstairs so I can enjoy them. They're placed strategically under the television so when I need a golf break I can look at them.
I'm feeling far better than I did yesterday but after waking up every hour last night, I'm going to spend the rest of the day napping, reading and drinking herbal tea.

What a thoughtful hubby, bringing you lilies :)
Hope your feeling better Lee! Keep drinking that tea -- it helps :)
Feel better soon!
feel better! Enjoy those books!
Get well soon!
I have "Everyone is Beautiful" on my night stand right now. I am part way through it. I tend to jump around in my reading. I read whatever book I am in the mood for at that particular time. Odd - but I tend to read a lot more books that way!
Enjoy your new books!
