Weekend Yo-Yo

Yes, occasionally I let people focus the camera on the photographer.

This weekend was a whirlwind of crazy activity coupled with hours of down-time. Somewhat yo-yo like in it's nature, I was surprised this morning when I realized all that was accomplished over and above the five loads of laundry!

Claire and Louis enjoyed their trip to Ottawa. Not only did Claire try out for the Team Ontario Bantam baseball team, but she also had a chance to spend time with Louis' parents, sibs and her cousins. Even given the choice between spending time with family or the girls from the team she chose her family. Good girl.

The boys participated in 3 on 3 hockey on Friday night and lacrosse on Saturday afternoon. Chloe hung out with her friend Olivia once her dramatic "I'm dying" nose bleed incident of Friday night was about to interfere with her social life. As I posted, the boys and I enjoyed the French Open and celebrated when Roger Federer finally won the much elusive cup! Once Chloe was collected we headed over to the Fitzpatrick's house for a lovely afternoon spent with Cole's new hockey team. Everyone in attendance appeared to have a lovely time. Louis and Claire managed to arrive in time to join the fun, too.

Here's to a great week of more laundry ... and more fun things like studying for exams! We're in the home stretch but the weather is cooperating. None of the kids are too distracted wanting to be outside as the forecast is for rain and cool temperatures.

We'll be happy to welcome good weather next Wednesday, but not before then.
