Hard to pick a best shot this Monday. I spent Saturday afternoon and evening at the rink watching Cole play an inter-squad 3 on 3 tournament. It gave me a great opportunity to play with my new camera and figure out what settings will work best in the rink this year. This has been a frustrating learning process as I can't ever use a flash, rink lighting stinks and hockey is a very fast game: very hard to still the action!
This particular play is so typical of Cole - digging in the corners. Maneuvering himself around the forward to come out with the puck. I was so happy to be at rink level to get the play from beginning to end.
To be honest, I got a number of amazing shots - with no tri-pod. I was thrilled and relieved.

Great job! I don't know if I told you but my son skates and I know how hard rink pictures are to get!
Great shots Lee! I struggle with getting action shots in manual exposure mode. These are awesome!
Great shots Lee! What lens are you using? I desperately need a new lens for indoor/outdoor action shots.
