Fingers crossed

On March 19th I found out that Simple Scrapbooks was accepting submissions for publication. The deadline: march 19th! At the encouragement of my friends and clients, one promise to myself is to submit something this year. So, I did! Thank goodness I had six (awesome!) layouts that matched their criteria for the fall issue.

What’s the downside? They say “no”. Well, I’ll just have to be more creative and try again! The upside is HUGE! Just the idea that I could grace the same pages as Stacy Julian or Cathy Zielske is thrilling. Through the magazine, and their various publications, they have helped me to become a better photographer, writer and graphic designer. Through their work, they have given me permission to be more honest and free with my journaling. I am now solid in my belief that what I do and celebrate matters.

Good thing that I’m busy organizing our hockey Awards Week (I’m the prez so don’t have no choice in the matter!) and don’t have much free time to obsess over whether or not I get chosen!

Keeping my fingers crossed …..
